Patience, Faith and Confidence Pays

There are times when we are taking all the right steps and moving in the right direction, but are not reaching our goals in the time frame we desire. What discourages us is when we look at what is happening in the moment and judge that as the final result. We all want to see tangible results, but before results occur, we have to reach a certain point in the process.

We are waiting for something to “take hold” and during that wait, it can seem like things are stuck. The most important thing to do is to keep going which means taking steps daily towards our goal and doing something proactive each day. It means reviewing what we have already accomplished, giving ourselves credit for that, and making any changes or additions after our review.

It’s also a good idea to take a break. That could mean a walk or a day trip. There comes a time when we have done all we feel we can, that we need to stop, take a break and rejuvenate ourselves. We then can come back to the tasks refreshed and more motivated.

We may not see our result in front of us, but there are so many signals that we are progressing and on track. If we are having small successes on the way, we are progressing. If what we are doing is not working, then we may need to change our strategy.

Faith and confidence in ourselves is key. So is patience. We have to nurture those seeds we have planted – and then let them grow.
